Hi friends,
I like to talk about poisons a lot. Poisons in my world, damage your gut health and damage your overall health. I write extensively about them in my book. But, for those who want a quick list, here it is!
Oils and Fats:
- Processed Fat 
- Trans Fat 
- Non-butter spreads 
- Canola Oil 
- Soybean Oil 
- Grapeseed Oil 
- Safflower Oil 
- “Vegetable Oil” 
- Cottonseed Oil 
Added Sugar / Sweeteners:
- Added sugar (yes honey and maple syrup are still sugar and I do eat them, but in small amounts) 
- Artificial sweeteners (Aspartame, Sucralose, Acesulfame K, Saccharin and more!) 
- Fat-free products: If the product is supposed to contain fat, then eat the natural product, not a fat free version. Fat free products contain fillers, chemicals, sugar, and/or sweeteners. 
- Artificial flavor 
- Buzzword junk food: processed food labels keto/paleo/sugar-free/etc. are still processed foods 
Artificial / Chemicals:
- Nitrites 
- Nitrates 
- Potassium bromate 
- Propyl Paraben 
- BHA 
- Propyl gallate 
- Theobromine 
- Artificial coloring 
- Diacetyl 
- Phosphates 
- Aluminum 
- Many more artificial additives 
Junk Food:
- Fast food 
- Candy 
- Ice cream 
- Frozen yogurt 
- Fried food 
- Processed food
